Statement of Intent between the Southern Rim Gateway Cities to the Antarctic

Abstract

Continuing Antarctica's legacy of cooperation, the Gateways of Ushuaia ,Argentina: Hobart, Australia; Punta Arenas, Chile: Christchurch, New Zealand; and Cape Town, South Africa, now express a mutual wish to explore the benefits of cooperation at the municipality level-in areas such as Antarctic related education, workforce and best practice in tourism and city development.
